HACO Industries is celebrating a double victory at the prestigious People’s Choice Awards 2025, where two of its flagship brands—Sosoft Fabric Softener and Amara Skin Care—were recognized as Uganda’s most trusted brands in their categories.

Sosoft was crowned Best Fabric Softener, while Amara emerged as the Best Skin Care Cosmetic, reaffirming HACO’s commitment to delivering quality personal and home care product designed with the everyday Ugandan consumer in mind.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Albanus Musau, Country Manager, HACO Uganda, said:
“These awards are a true testament of the trust Ugandans place in HACO’s brands. Our so Sosoft, promise softness, freshness, and long-lasting fragrances that resonate well with different consumer tastes and preferences families can rely on, while Amara represents beauty, care, and confidence for every Ugandan. This recognition inspires us to keep innovating and delivering quality products made with natural extracts some sourced locally. And we commit to ensuring our products are within the arm’s length for each of our consumers.

Eugene Too, General Manager, HACO Industries, added: “This double win speaks to our vision of being the most preferred company with a presence in every household by 2030. As a proudly regional manufacturer, we are committed to producing high-quality, affordable, and accessible brands that enhance everyday life. We dedicate this achievement to our consumers whose loyalty continues to drive us forward.”

The Guest of Honor, Betty Among, Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development in the Cabinet of Uganda, applauded the winners and the organizers for shining a spotlight on the role of locally produced goods in Uganda’s economy.

She remarked: “I commend GICA for their research on local products and congratulate HACO for emerging winners. Locally produced goods are the backbone of our economy. Without them, we risk shortages that can fuel insecurity, as seen in other countries. By producing here at home, companies like HACO are not only keeping our economy stable but also creating job opportunities for Ugandans. You are an engine of growth for this country, and consumers have recognized your excellence.”

The People’s Choice Awards are based on extensive consumer surveys across Uganda, giving voice to the preferences of thousands of citizens. The recognition of HACO’s brands as market leaders demonstrates their deep connection to Ugandan households and their role in everyday life.
