Speaking at the first stopover in Kampala, Matilda Babuleka, the Head of Beer at Uganda Breweries said, “In a first-of-its-kind activation, we’re sending our iconic Foreign Extra Stout across the country, starting from Jinja and making its way into Kampala for the big matchday event. This activation is designed to build excitement and bring Guinness closer to our consumers, showing that we are with them every step of the way.”

“We have staged a massive football watch event, but also with the massive truck from Dublin. We are bringing the excitement direct from Dublin,” Babuleka noted.

She added that Guinness is brewed for excellence, and this is mirrored in their partnership with the Premier League.

“Just as the EPL sets the standard for football, Guinness sets the standard for beer. We care deeply about the experience of football fans in Uganda, and we’re committed to celebrating and elevating that passion through every sip of our beer.”

Adding, Guinness listens to our fans and celebrates their passion, “We understand what it means to be a football fan in Uganda, and we believe our fans deserve nothing but the best. That’s why we’re bringing the EPL excitement directly to them with these unique activations.”

She explained that as fans gear up for the new EPL season, they are invited everyone to join in for the different matchday events, “enjoy the game with your squad, and of course, a Guinness in hand. Whether you’re at home, at your local, or with us at the event, Guinness is the official beer of the EPL and your perfect matchday companion.”
