John Paul Kodet, the Napak LCV Chairperson says that the district cannot help and has asked several partners to adjust their planning and provide immediate emergency support to the community.

He also advised the partners to assist the affected community with farming inputs such as seeds.

According to the assessment carried out by the local authorities, 503 households were affected by the floods and needed emergency aid, including food, health services and other support.

Kodet says no partner has yet communicated to the district but he is optimistic that they will respond soon.

Laura Nawok whose house collapsed asked the government and partners to deliver more assistance to inform of equipment such as hoes, axes and pangas that can help them in construction. She lauded the local leadership of Napak for soliciting support for them.
