Nakaseke, Uganda — Gen Caleb Akandwanaho Salim Saleh (Rtd), the Special Presidential Advisor to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for Defence and Security, and Chief Coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation (OWC), has met with the Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), Dr Workneh Gebeyehu, on regional peace, stability, and integration.
The meeting, which was held in Kirema, Nakaseke District, focused on advancing peace and security across the region. Discussions also centred on strengthening infrastructural connectivity, enhancing livelihoods, and improving access to regional markets as key drivers of regional integration.
Both leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to deepening collaboration and working in partnership to promote sustainable peace and economic development within the IGAD region.
Dr Workneh Gebeyehu expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality extended to him and his delegation, underscoring the importance of continued cooperation among regional partners to address common challenges.
