Maj Gen James Birungi has taken over as the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence boss, replacing Maj Gen Abel Kandiho.
The ceremony was presided over by the Chief of Defence Forces Gen Wilson Mbadi at the Ministry of Defencee headquarters in Mbuya.
Recently President Museveni switched the two senior officers with Gen Kandiho heading to South Sudan where Gen Birungi has been monitoring on behalf of the guarantors, the assembling, screening, demobilization, and integration of the armed forces.
The handover ceremony was attended by other senior UPDF officers.
