FunDoo provides a range of information, from career development and mental health to climate change, gender-based violence, vaccine uptake, communication skills and much more. It also prepares young people to seize opportunities and confront challenges in a rapidly changing world, make informed decisions, become responsible citizens, and achieve their full potential.

Dr Robin Nandy UNICEF Representative in Uganda, said that the most highly ratified UN Convention globally is the one on the rights of children underscoring it’s significance.

“It is important for all of us to recommit to uphold and protect the fundamental rights of children, who are the present and future too.”

Fatumah Namukose from UNICEF said, “FunDoo is a skilling platform where young people can acquire 21st century skills that they would ordinarily not learn in class. These skills help them thrive and survive in the everyday world that we live in today.”

Namukose added that FunDoo can be accessed over the mobile phone, informed by the growing penetration of mobile phones usage in Uganda.

She noted that one can log onto the FunDoo platform from the comfort of their homes, at their own time by simply texting ‘FunDoo’ to SMS 8500 or WhatsApp 0709 168 500 and tap into a world of greater skilling possibilities, using FunDoo, the digital life coach. FunDoo can be accessed through Google store and Apple Store.
