The first half witnessed a cagey and physical display from either side ending in a barren statement.

Two minutes into the second half, it was advantage for the hosts as Reagan Kalyowa was brought down in the box by defender Livingstone Mulondo before Samuel Sekamatte made no mistake to convert from 12 yards past Fabian Mutombora.

The Venoms then brought on more fire power upfront, introducing Brazilian forward Giancarlo Lopez Rodriguez and Abdu Lumala on search of a leveller.

Lumala had his half volleyball strike towards the death of the game ruled out for offside.

Bul FC managed to hold on and get victory in order to progress to the semi final.

At Muteesa ll Stadium Wankulukuku, SC Villa also sailed through to the semi final as they defeated Maroons FC 2-1.

Teenager Hakim Mutebi broke the deadlock in the 12th minute from the rebound after Ronald Ssekiganda’s initial effort hit the crossbar.

The Prison side levelled matters one minute to the half hour mark through Hadadi Kambugu who slotted past Meddy Kibirige thanks to a neat pass from Noel Nasasira.

Villa’s new signing Denis Ojara got off the mark on his debut midway the second half with a cool finish that eventually saw the Jogoos through to the semis.

BUL FC went on to play SC Villa in the semifinals while Vipers SC faced Maroons FC in a classification tie on Friday.
