Federation of Uganda Football Associations, FUFA has come pit to deny resignation reports by the national team coach, Micho Sredjovic Milutin.
On Saturday, during a press conference shortly after Uganda beating South Sudan 5 – 1 goals, Micho hinted on resigning the position in the next 48 hours citing failure by FUFA to pay his salary arrears.
However, FUFA has said the reports are baseless.
“Mr. Sredojevic hasn’t forwarded any communication to FUFA about rumours that he has resigned his post as National team coach of the Uganda Cranes,” stated an official release by the federation spokesperson Ahmed Hussein.
“We understand our Coach as a professional who will address any issues with his employers first.”
According to the official statement, FUFA president Moses Magogo who has been away on official duties will hold a meeting with Micho before coming up with a communication.
“We request the public to remain calm about this matter.”
