The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has appointed Ms Dianah Nyikiriize to the new post of Commercial Director and Ms Maureen Abote as Sponsorship and Sales Manager, respectively.

The FUFA Commercial Division headed by Diana is a team of five that will be responsible to build, protect, position and sell the following; FUFA, FUFA Competitions and Events, FUFA TV and 102.1 FUFA FM.

Dianah is a professional marketer with over fifteen years of experience in the Sales and Marketing industry with careers at Uganda Breweries Limited as a Brand Manager and Commercial Director with Solutions EA Limited.

She also brings vast experience in experiential marketing and event management.

Ms Maureen comes with 13 years of experience in the fields of sales and marketing, having previously worked with Nile Breweries Limited, Rwenzori water, Prudential Insurance, UAP insurance and Hima Cement and most recently as Marketing Manager of Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association.

The appointments take immediate effect.

“The appointment of the two new staff all with track records in marketing, sales and branding adds to our confidence towards the targets of further commercialisation of FUFA brands,” said FUFA CEO Edgar Watson.

“Working with the biggest sports federation in Uganda gives me the opportunity to contribute to its growth and further development. My job will help me link brand objectives to the target audience and I am thrilled to be joining the world of football through FUFA family,” said Dianah Nyikiriize.

“I am excited about the journey to work in football. My experience in management and selling of sports brands will help me a lot in the football world,” said Maureen Abote.
