The immediate former Judiciary Permanent Secretary, Kagole Expedito Kivumbi has died, Judiciary announces.
Solomon Muyita, the Judiciary spokesperson says Kivumbi breathed his last on Sunday afternoon from Le Memorial Medical Services at Kitiko-Lubowa, Kigo Road, where he was admitted a week ago.
The cause of his death was not immediately communicated.
“The Judiciary is working closely with the family to coordinate the funeral arrangements, and they’ll be communicated subsequently,” says Muyita.
Kivumbi was sent on forced leave by the head of Public Service and Secretary to Cabinet, Dr John Mitala on July 26, 2019 on the President’s directive before replacing him with Pius Bigirimana.
He was accused of financial impropriety involving Shs34b meant for Judiciary activities.
