A groundbreaking study by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted yoghurt its first-ever qualified health claim, confirming that regular consumption may reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes.
According to the FDA, eating yoghurt regularly, at least two cups (three servings) per week, has been scientifically proven to lower the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

In response to the FDA’s findings, Fresh Dairy has launched the ‘Yoghurt4Better’ campaign to educate consumers about the benefits of their nutrient-rich flavoured yoghurt.
Omoth explained, “Our yoghurt is packed with essential nutrients like energy, carbohydrates, protein, fat, and calcium, making it an excellent addition to a healthy diet.”
Fresh Dairy flavoured yoghurt comes in various sizes (450g, 250g, 150g, 100g cups and 400g and 200g Pouch packs) and is widely available in all shops, duukas, kosks, supermarkets, Tuk Tuk agents countrywide.
The ‘Yoghurt4Better’ campaign aims to promote healthy eating habits and encourage consumers to make informed choices.
