Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) has awarded Susan Kyokusiima, a farmer and bar owner from Mitoma District, a staggering Shs50 million grand prize in the Laga Swagga campaign.

The three-month campaign saw thousands of participants across Uganda win cash prizes, airtime, and other rewards. An overwhelmed Kyokusiima expressed her gratitude, saying, “I joined the campaign for airtime, but Uganda Breweries has rewarded me with life-changing money.”

“I’ve always enjoyed Uganda Waragi, but never imagined winning such a big amount. Thank you, UBL, for this opportunity. I encourage others to participate while drinking responsibly,” she added.

Other winners included Kavuma Matthews (UGX 2.5 million) and Buyondo Douglas (UGX 500,000).

Hillary Baguma, UBL’s Brand Manager for Mainstream Spirits, reflected on the campaign’s success. “Our goal was to celebrate and give back to loyal consumers. We’re thrilled with the overwhelming response, showcasing our consumers’ passion for our brands.”

Francis Nyende, UBL’s Marketing Manager for Mainstream Spirits, echoed this sentiment. “Laga Swagga has been remarkable, with outstanding consumer feedback. Our mission is to celebrate customers, and Susan’s win exemplifies UBL’s commitment to engaging and rewarding loyal consumers.”

The awarding ceremony concluded with an electrifying performance by the Abeeka band.

The Laga Swagga campaign promoted responsible drinking while offering exciting rewards to participants. UBL’s spirits brands, including Uganda Waragi, Coconut, Lemon, Ginger, Bond 7, and Gilbeys, led the initiative.
