Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) has awarded Susan Kyokusiima, a farmer and bar owner from Mitoma District, a staggering Shs50 million grand prize in the Laga Swagga campaign.
The three-month campaign saw thousands of participants across Uganda win cash prizes, airtime, and other rewards. An overwhelmed Kyokusiima expressed her gratitude, saying, “I joined the campaign for airtime, but Uganda Breweries has rewarded me with life-changing money.”
“I’ve always enjoyed Uganda Waragi, but never imagined winning such a big amount. Thank you, UBL, for this opportunity. I encourage others to participate while drinking responsibly,” she added.
Other winners included Kavuma Matthews (UGX 2.5 million) and Buyondo Douglas (UGX 500,000).
Hillary Baguma, UBL’s Brand Manager for Mainstream Spirits, reflected on the campaign’s success. “Our goal was to celebrate and give back to loyal consumers. We’re thrilled with the overwhelming response, showcasing our consumers’ passion for our brands.”

The awarding ceremony concluded with an electrifying performance by the Abeeka band.
