According to a Thursday, September 8, 2022, communication by the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, Ngolobe was convicted and disqualified from holding public office for the next 10 years.

Anyou will not hold a public office for the next 10 years

The unit in collaboration with Uganda Police arrested Ngolobe in August 2021 for allegedly soliciting a bribe of Shs150,000 in exchange for assistance to secure an eviction order.

He was taken to the Anti-Corruption Court in the same month where he pleaded not guilty.

The court then remanded him to Kitalya prison. He has been on trial ever since.
