Entebbe — Passenger traffic through Entebbe International Airport remained robust in September 2025, with a total of 226,301 international passengers recorded, according to the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA).

The figure comprised 105,043 arrivals and 121,258 departures, averaging about 7,543 passengers arriving and departing daily.

While the numbers represent a slight decline from August’s record-breaking 243,089 passengers, the UCAA said overall traffic continues to reflect strong travel demand, driven by business, tourism, and conference-related activities.

On the cargo front, imports totalled 2,175 metric tonnes, while exports reached 3,707 metric tonnes, bringing the total cargo volume to 5,882 metric tonnes. This marks an increase from August’s 5,257 metric tonnes, underscoring growing trade activity through Uganda’s main gateway.

The steady traffic underscores Entebbe’s continuing recovery and expansion as regional connectivity improves and international airlines increase frequencies.

Uganda CAA has in recent months reported record-breaking performance, boosted by events tourism, growing exports, and enhanced air services across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.
