Enjovu Family to host Business Conference with focus on Governance

The Enjovu Family Business Conference is set to return on Friday, October 11, at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel. This premier event brings together family business owners, advisors, and industry experts to share knowledge, network, and discuss opportunities.

Hosted by Enjovu Family Business in partnership with I&M Bank Uganda, the conference will focus on “Family Governance – Managing Conflict and Building Family Businesses to Last.” I&M Bank, which originated as a family business, will share its expertise on effective financial strategies for navigating challenges faced by family enterprises.

“We understand the unique challenges and opportunities that family enterprises face,” said Annette Nakiyaga, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at I&M Bank Uganda. “We’re proud to partner with Enjovu Family Business to equip family businesses with the tools they need to manage challenges and build sustainable legacies.”

Elizabeth Kibuuka, Director of Enjovu Family Business, noted, “This conference offers a platform for family businesses to address critical issues like governance and conflict resolution. By sharing experiences and strategies, we aim to help families build strong, lasting legacies.”

At the event, the Keynote speaker will be Jayesh Shah, Group Managing Director, Sumaria Group, Tanzania.

Other renowned speakers include; Mr. Emmanuel Katongole, Co-founder and Chairman, Quality Chemicals Limited; Sim Katende, Partner, Katende, Ssempebwa and Company Advocates; Dr. Nandawula Kanyerezi Mutema, Managing Director, The Clinic; and Mr. Sam Ntulume, Executive Director and Chief Operations Officer, I&M Bank Uganda

To attend the conference, one will pay Shs 500,000. The conference will run from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, providing a valuable platform for family businesses to address challenges and explore solutions.
