She told them that Uganda remains safe for international visitors and investors.

In September, Uganda announced an Ebola Virus Disease outbreak. However, tremendous efforts have been registered in the fight against the virus.

Aceng said routine contact tracing and additional case investigation are ongoing.

At the GHSA, various ministers and high-level officials from Governments and international organizations convened to chart a way forward on how to strengthen health security capacity, and coordination at all levels and share a vision for the future of GHSA.

“On the sidelines of #GHSAMinisterial2022, I had a great bilateral meeting with US HSS Deputy Secretary, Andrea Palm & her team. We discussed partnerships & collaboration in different areas of healthcare. Uganda continues to appreciate the support from the government in improved health care,” Dr Aceng tweeted.
