E-Bus Xpress, an electric mass mobility solution offering efficient and eco-friendly intracity and intercity travel, has started a new era of mass transport in Jinja City.  

Over the weekend, E-Bus Xpress commenced an all-cashless, electric and modern mass transit in Uganda, positioned to revolutionise mass transit across the world.

This new transport means uses electric buses with e-payment modes offering passengers an international travel experience.

“#EBusXpress is a mass transportation service that offers safe, clean, and reliable rides for both passengers and goods, ensuring you reach your destination on time,” said the company on X.

E-Bus Xpress integrates seamlessly with smart city systems, providing real-time arrivals and departures thus reducing travel time for the passenger.

It added: “The era of delays with public transport is over on the #EBusXpress. With dedicated arrival and departure schedules, you are guaranteed to arrive at your destination in real-time.”

Uganda is witnessing the fruits of the shift to e-mobility with the E-Bus Express service starting off with the Jinja- Iganga route.

“Our electric buses are designed with ample seating and standing room for a relaxed commute. With their silent performance, they provide a serene and premium travel experience like no other. E-Bus Xpress Maanyi. We are currently in Jinja,” said the company on its X platform.

The E-Bus Xpress service uses Kayoola EVS electric buses, which produce no harmful emissions, providing a quiet and smooth ride.

“With air conditioning for added comfort and great value for money, your trip is made easy and enjoyable.”’

KaCyber Technologies, Uganda’s leading transport ticketing and payment Tech Company headed by its CEO Innocent Orikiiriza, will provide ticketing and payment services for E-Bus Xpress.

“Get your KaCyber Go card today, tap and go! The future is now. Jinja-iganga you can now pay your bus fare on E-Bus Xpress using the KaCyber Go card,” said the company on X.’

According to Kiira Motors, a mobility enterprise headed by Paul Isaac Musasizi, “The future is green, the future is now”.

“The all-electric Kayoola EVS is pioneering Mass Mobility in Eastern Uganda making the Jinja – Iganga Route a Green Belt. It is time to experience modern, safe and sustainable transportation in Africa,” said Kiira Motors on X.
