Dr Sarah Bireete Elected Chairperson of East and Horn of Africa Election Observers Network

Dr Sarah Bireete has been elected the Chairperson of the East and Horn of Africa Election Observers Network (E – HORN).

E-HORN has members from Ethiopia, Somalia, South Sudan, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi and Uganda.

She replaces the outgoing chairperson is Crispin Kaheru who is a Commissioner at Uganda Human Rights Commission (UHRC).

Bireete is also the Executive Director of Center for Constitutional Governance (CCG), a Constitutional Watchdog – (NGO) based in the Ministers Village, Ntinda, a Kampala suburb.

She is a lawyer and human rights activist with her own social media channel, Good Morning Uganda, followed by over 20000 followers.

She also served as a National Coordinator for the International Conference of the Great Lakes Region under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
