In December 2017, Ms. Nzogi transferred to the ODPP as Principal Assistant Secretary, and in August 2020, she was promoted to Under Secretary, a position she held until her recent appointment as Permanent Secretary.

Ms. Nzogi’s academic qualifications are extensive, including a Master of Public Administration from the University of Birmingham (UK), a Master of Arts in Development Studies from the Institute of Social Studies (The Hague), and postgraduate diplomas in Monitoring and Evaluation and Public Administration. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Makerere University and a Certificate in Law from the Law Development Centre, Uganda.

In her new role, Ms. Nzogi will be responsible for providing strategic policy direction, overseeing the implementation of development plans on behalf of the DPP, and ensuring adherence to service delivery standards for effective prosecutorial services.

The ODPP expressed its gratitude to His Excellency Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for the appointment and his continued support of the office.
