Uganda Cranes head coach, Sebastien Desabre has named the 23-man team set to represent Uganda in Niger.
Addressing the media at the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) head office in Mengo Wednesday morning, Desabre noted that the squad will be engaged in two international warm up matches.
“The main objective of this training camp is to have the players get together in preparation for the four AFCON 2019 qualification matches between September and November 2018,” Desabre noted.
The national soccer team coach added that Uganda will be playing Central African Republic on May 30 and later on June 2, 2018 face off with Niger.
The 23 players are expected to depart the country on the May 26 2018 and the team comprises of 18 players and 6 officials.
Lineup
Goal keepers: Denis Onyango, Charles Lukwago and Jamal Salim.
Defenders: Denis Iguma, Nicholas Wadada, Murushid Jjuko, Bevis Mugabi, Timothy Awanyi, Geofrey Walusimbi and Isaac Muleme.
Midfielders: Joseph Ochaya, Hassan Wasswa, Khalid Aucho, Taddeo Lwanga, Luwagga Kizito, Milton Karisa, AllanKateregga, Faruku Miya and Moses Opondo.
Strikers: Emmanuel Okwi, Yunus Sentamu, Edrisa Lubega and Mohammad Shaban.
