Uganda Cranes will today, Sunday face Zambia’s Chipolopolo in their opener in the CHAN 2018 championship which kicked off on Jan 12 in Morocco.

Cranes go for this game after losing 1-0 to Congo Brazzaville on Jan 9 and a goalless draw with Guinea on Jan 6 in practice games held in Rabat.

Meanwhile, Chipolopolo won 3-1 against South Africa’s side Orlando Pirates in their only buildup game to the tournament.

According to reports from Marrakech, the team held last training on Saturday evening at the Stade de Marrakech stadium and all is set for the boys to take on the Zambian side.

Cranes who have a new Coach Sébastien Desabre following former Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic’s departure in July last year, have been participating in the tournament since 2011 but have never gone past the group stages.

Uganda is in Group B alongside Zambia, Ivory Coast and Namibia.
