On the other hand, Cranes are preparing for 2019 AFCON Qualifiers game against Cape Verde who they will host on November 17 at the Mandela National stadium.

Cranes’ goals were scored by Simba’s striker, Emma Okwi who scored a brace against Lesotho at Namboole last month and new kid on the block, Vianne Sekajugo.

Team tactician, Sebastian Desabre has already named his 25 man final squad to enter residential camp today Monday at Kabira Country Club in Bukoto. They will hold their first session at Namboole starting at 4pm.

Several foreign based players have already joined the team including Joseph Ochaya who trades his football in DRC and the few remaining ones like team captain Denis Onyango are expected to jet in not later than Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Uganda leads Group L with 10 points ahead of Tanzania who have 5. Cape Verde is third with 4 points and Lesotho is at the bottom of the table with only 2 points.

Cranes only need a point in the remaining two games against Cape Verde at Namboole and Tanzania away from home next year, to seal a spot in the 2019 AFCON in Cameroon.
