The Uganda Cranes have on Thursday afternoon arrived in Morocco ahead of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) which will kickoff on Jan 12.
Cranes set off yesterday aboard Qatar Airways and had stopovers in Rwanda and Doha before landing at Casablanca, in North Africa.
According to the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) communications manager, Ahmed Hussen Marsha, the team arrived at 4pm EAT and will travel by road to Rabat awaiting release of training programme by the Coach.
“The team arrived at Casablanca from Doha at 1pm local time. We have another one hour drive trip to Rabat by road and the training programme will be released by the Coach later today,” he said.
Sources indicate that Uganda will not have a friendly game with Cameroon as earlier communicated but instead the Cranes will entertain Guinea on Saturday 6, before taking on Congo Brazzaville in the other friendly match.
The team will then move to Marrakech where it will play all its three group games.
Uganda is pooled in Group B alongside Ivory Coast, Namibia and Zambia.
