Uganda Cranes suffered a 1-0 loss to Congo Brazzaville in a practise match held at the Fus Rabat stadium on Tuesday evening.
The game which kicked off at 10:30pm (EAT) saw Cranes pressing hard with saddam Juma missing a crucial goal when he came close to hitting the back of the net with a direct free kick.
Earlier, Milton Karisa appeared strong and a threat to the Congolese defense as he set a tough pace and displayed great skills on the pitch.
The first half ended goalless with Uganda’s Muzamiru Mutyaba in total control of the midfield.
Coach Sebastian Desabre made some changes in the second half removing Milton Karisa and Juma Saddam and replaced them with Shaban Muhammed and Senkatuka before the Congolese giants scored in the 68 minute, ending the game 1-0.
This was Uganda’s second and last friendly game after the one played against Guinea on Saturday last week which ended in a one all draw.
Uganda is preparing for CHAN championship scheduled for Jan 12 in Morocco and will travel on Thursday to Marrakech where all its group games will be played.
Uganda is in group B alongside Zambia, Ivory Coast and Namibia and will play its first game on Jan 14 against Zambia.
