Uganda Cranes star, Farouk Miya Saturday scored one of his new club, HNK Gorica, goals in a friendly match against Slovenian side NK Brda, in a come back that is projected to revive his scoring ability.
Miya, 20, scored the 4th goal in the game which ended 6-0 in favour of the visitors, a club he has spent barely two weeks with, from Belgium top league side Standard Liege.
The newly promoted club to the Croatian top division is playing international friendly matches in preparation for the 2018/19 season.
Last week, the Ugandan young lad scored his first and only goal of the game on his debut against Romanian league champions Petrolul Ploiești at the Velika Gorica arena.
Miya, a former player of the Kitende based Vipers FC, is on a two year contract at his new club having failed to get sufficient playing time at standard Liege where the Belgians loaned him to Royal Excel Mouscron and FK Sebail in Azerbaijani before finally selling him out two weeks back.
Since leaving Uganda in 2016 for Europe, Ugandans anticipated that he would shine more and thus boost the Cranes, which did not come true due to limited playing time.
But his excellent display at HNK Gorica so far in two weeks where he has played 2 matches and scored 2 goals is seen by many as his turning point to shine again.
