Goodlyfe manager, Geoffrey Kyagambiddwa alias Chagga is in the middle of yet another controversy after he was arrested for allegedly failing to pay his debts amounting to Shs 2.6 million.
The latest news making rounds is that Chagga is behind bars for the failure by his crew to honour a show in Wobulenzi where Weasel and Radio were booked to perform last year.
It is alleged that Goodlyfe was paid a sum of Shs 2.6 million in December 2017 for a performance scheduled for early this year but this never came to fruition.
It was around the same time when Mowzey Radio, the half of the singing due was in coma at Case Clinic so they could not perform. Eventually, Radio passed on.
Goodlyfe allegedly opted to refund the money but this was too late.
Having missed the event without clear notification and communication, the event promoter decided to seek a refund, damages inclusive. This revised the amount from Shs 2.6 million to Shs 18 million.
Chagga was arrested in Kampala and later taken to Luweero where he is currently locked up at Bututumula Hoosegow prison. Singer Weasel is reportedly on the run.
As the controversy surrounding the once powerful singing group Goodlyfe continues to deepen, fans continue to worry whether there can be a positive ending.
