Kamiyat Naigaga and second-half substitute Shamsa Najjuma orchestrated the damage on Burundi, scoring a brace each.

The other goals came from Agnes Nabukenya, Allen Nassaazi and captain Phiona Nabulime.

The win took Uganda top of the table on goal difference ahead of hosts Tanzania.

Uganda and Tanzania have won three games each and the final match on Friday where they face off will determine the winner.

Uganda has scored eleven goals at the tournament so far compared to Tanzania’s six.

Therefore, a draw against Tanzania on Friday will be enough to get Uganda over the line and clinch the Championship.
