The Chief of Defence Forces and Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has promoted three General officers to the Ranks of Acting Major General.

According Major General Felix Kulayigye, the Director of Defence Public Information, the promotions are in line with the new establishment and the Generals  flawless track records of excellent service.

These include; Brigadier General Charles Byanyima to Acting Major General, Brigadier General Deus Sande to Acting Major General, and Brigadier General Daniel Kakono to Acting Major General.

Major General Kakono currently serves as the Commander of the Field Artillery Division, while Byanyima and Sande command the Motorized Infantry Division and Armoured Division, respectively.

“The Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs and UPDF fraternity congratulate!the General officers for their well-deserved promotions,” said Kulayigye.
