Bus Loses Control Along Kabale – Kisoro Road Killing Driver

A man has died on spot after the bus he was driving got involved in an accident along the Kabale – Kisoro road.

The bus Reg No. UBA 455C belonging to Baby Coach company swerved of the road  at Nyakabande after losing control on Monday morning at around 5:30am.

A man identified as Faruzi Kamurumba, 40, hailing from Rukungiri who was driving the bus has been reported dead by Police.

Five other passengers were badly injured and rushed to Kisoro hospital where they are currently admitted.

These are; Mirembe Patrica, 21, Naava Rwina, 20, Abutrica Shakira, 20, Kennedy Gerald, 23 and Asingwire Dancan, 24.

Police Spokesperson for the Kigezi Region, Elly Matte said the five casualties are out of danger.

He said the cause of accident is yet to be established.

“It is very unfortunate that we lost the bus driver. I call on people to be careful on the road because that is the only way we can avoid such problems,” Matte said.
