Thousands of enthusiastic fans filled the Nelson Mandela National Stadium to witness Buddu County’s historic third Masaza Cup title win. The decisive moment came in the 22nd minute when Mike Walaga scored a powerful headed goal, securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Kyaggwe county.

Despite Kyaggwe’s dominance throughout the game, Buddu’s exceptional goalkeeper, Marvin Ssebirago, delivered a standout performance, deflecting every attempt at goal and ensuring a clean sheet for his team. This victory marked Buddu’s third championship title.

The electric atmosphere in the stadium reached new heights when the Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, and members of the royal family, Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga, graced the venue. The excitement was palpable, with fans celebrating Buddu’s win in style.

Buddu’s journey to the title began with a 4-2 aggregate win over Kyaddondo in the semi-finals.

Beyond the on-field action, the celebration for the jubilant Buddu fans was made even sweeter in the Pilsner King party section.

The Pilsner King beer went fit as low as Shs 2,000. Fans were also treated to the ‘Binyanya’ sound by DJ Suuna Ben, other entertainers included Karole Kasita and DJ Aly Breezy.
