Makindye chief magistrate, Erias Kakooza has Thursday charged city socialite, Brian Kirumira alias Bryan White and his bodyguard, Thomas Okoth with attempted murder.
Bryan White and Thomas Okoth, a police officer attached to Kabalagala police station were later remanded to Luzira prison until January 8, 2018.
The two had earlier on applied for bail but the prosecutor objected to it saying the victim, Victor Bitwiire whom they are accused of shooting is still in critical condition.
John Bulombo, the lawyer of the accused pleaded with court to release them on bail but the state prosecutor, Happiness Ainebyona said she needed more time to verify documents presented in their bail application.
Prosecution alleges that on December 13, at Munyonyo Buziga, Makindye division in Kampala district, Bryan White and Okoth attempted to murder businessman Bitwiire Victor, contrary to section 204 of the Penal Code Act.
