This recognition underscores Britam’s commitment to fostering a workplace where employees are empowered to thrive and contribute to a winning culture, driving meaningful impact across the continent.

It highlights how Britam prioritises the development, engagement, and shaping of its workforce. By nurturing talent, promoting diversity and inclusion, and supporting employee well-being, Britam ensures a thriving work environment that drives sustained excellence and organisational success.

The organisation remains deliberate in advancing career growth and meaningful employee experiences, ensuring that work at Britam is both impactful and fulfilling.

Commenting on the recognition, Britam Uganda Chief Executive Officer, Allan Mafabi, said: “This recognition reinforces the connection between how we support our people and the value we deliver to customers. In Uganda, our focus remains on building capable teams that drive growth, service excellence, and long-term impact on the market.”

Britam’s Group Managing Director and CEO, Tom Gitogo, attributed this achievement to the innovation and commitment of the company’s employees, fondly known as the Blue Tribe.

He emphasised that, “This recognition reflects the strength of our culture and the commitment of our people across the region. Britam’s success is anchored in the passion, innovation, and shared values of the Blue Tribe. Being recognised again as a Top Employer in Africa across four countries reinforces our resolve to continuously invest in our people as we build a resilient, future-ready organisation.”

Britam HR Director, Evelyne Munyoki, added, “The forward momentum created by being certified as a Top Employer Africa 2026 signals that our people’s practices are evolving in the right direction. It reflects the intentional work we continue to do to strengthen inclusion, support wellbeing, and create environments where our people can perform, grow, and feel a sense of belonging across all our markets.”

The Top Employer Africa 2026 certification strengthens its reputation as an organisation where people can thrive, belong, and build purposeful careers.

It also reinforces Britain’s commitment to shaping the future of work by placing people at the centre of its strategy.

The Top Employers Institute’s CEO, Adrian Seligman, acknowledged Britam’s Africa certification, saying, “Being recognised as a Regional Top Employer for 2026 is a significant achievement that reflects the strength and consistency of Britam’s people strategy across multiple countries.”
