Dr Kizza Besigye of the Katonga FDC faction and Eng Patrick Amuriat of Najjanakumbi FDC faction both announced press conferences slated for 11 am, Monday, 15 April.
Dr Besigye’s will take place at Katonga Road, while Engineer Amuriat’s will be at Najjanakumbi – wrongly spelt as “Najjankumbi” on his flyer.
Coincidentally, April 14 marks exactly one year since the Sudanese conflict pitting former allies, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and Mohamed Hamdan “Hemedti” Dagalo, leader of the the Rapid Support Force (RSF) started.
Battles that pit former allies against each other are always the pettiest, and yet most destructive. Will FDC survive the Najjanakumbi versus Katonga feuds?
