The second phase of auditions of Cheza Dance Idols closed on a high note in Mbale district.
The vivacious dancers represented from Soroti, Iganga and majorly from Mbale, set the dancing floor in Club el Tanjia on fire with their energetic performances.
Beat Breakers from Mbale gave an appealing performance that won hearts of the judges hence emerging champions.
In second place was Wasafi Dance Crew while Shakers Dance Crew made it to 3rd position.
The auditions will now proceed to Mbarara come Saturday. Once the nationwide tour is complete, all regional winners will meet in a national boot camp to prepare for a Grand Finale on November 3 at the National Theater.
Brand Ambassadors 256, the organizers, say the dance initiative seeks to uplift the profile of dancers and youths with a platform to harness their talent and mitigate juvenile misbehavior such as; drug abuse, permissive sexual behavior, alcohol abuse, and unemployment through sensitization and taking them into a healthy competition.
The initiative is sponsored by Soft Power Communications LLC, NBS Television, Gotv Uganda, Tenge, InspireAfrica Coffee, UNCC and Uganda National Cultural Centre.
