All is set for the most exciting arts festival in Uganda. Tickets fot the 11th edition of the Bayimba International Festival are now available for purchase through an easy and convenient platform.
Festival fans from all over the globe can now purchase themselves tickets on an online ticketing platform – www.ticketsasa.com/events, using a mobile phone or computer with various online payment options including [Mobile Money, Pesapal, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express].
Early bird tickets for a full Festival Pass for the 4 days including Camping Fees can be purchased right now at Shs 50,000 ($15) while a day pass can be purchased at Shs 15,000 ($4).
This offer is valid until June 30, thereafter tickets will go for Shs 70,000 ($20) and Shs 20,000 ($6) for the Full Festival pass and Day Pass respectively.
A statement by the organizers of the annual fest said this year, fans will experience the new spacious location, with a great natural atmosphere at the shores of Lake Victoria at prices that are Festival friendly.
For the first time, after 10 years, the festival gets out of Kampala where it has been hosted previously, to Lunkulu Island on Mukono-Katosi road, 42 kms from Kampala and 60 kms from Jinja. Event organisers say the place can be easily reached by road as well as accessed by boat.
“We promise to programme the 11th Edition of the Bayimba International Festival to a level unmatched before in performing arts to enable our fans from the past 10 years have an experience that is extraordinary and impactful” said Faisal Kiwewa, the Artistic Director of Bayimba International Festival.
Kiwewa earlier said the new location includes on-site parking, room for on-site accommodation and an inspirational environment that lends itself for some innovative design and artistic layout.
“In terms of programming we will be very similar to what our audiences are used to – exciting multi-arts programming at various stages for people from all ages and strata – just in a different location with more breathing room,” Kiwewa said.
The 11th edition of the Bayimba International Festival is scheduled to run from the August 2 to 5 this year.
