All is set for the eighth annual Break-Fast Jam Finals, to be held at YMCA grounds in Kampala, on November 17 and 18 as revellers ready themselves for an exciting showcase of break dance, hip-hop, urban culture events.
The event will feature real time competitions in old school hip-hop dance genres; break dance and popping.
Organizers alos say there will be free workshop sessions, rap and a feel of other dance styles and music showcase including beat-boxing/vocal percussion.
In addition, deejaying and traditional drumming by Nilotika band accompanied by live live graffiti mural painting are as well part of the do.
On the list of guest is Amy True & Logic (rappers from London, UK), BBK Bboys crew (Tanzania), Dj Snuff (Ireland), Aiknow & Niina (female breakdancers from Finland), Dj Maintain (UK), Bboy Obi 1 (Finland), Sammy Deluxe (German), Bboy Kiwembe (Rwanda), Bboy Jijo (Kenya), Ahmed Elradi (Sudan), Hatimax, Kwizera, Byg Ben Sukuya, Ibra Buwembo and many more.
Uganda will be represented by Ricky Orenia and Salvador plus Saman and Popper Weekend who won Central and Eastern Uganda eliminations.
They will go head to head with many other celebrated break dancers and poppers from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania. DRC, Rwanda, Finland.
Break-Fast Jam is an annual breakdance event nurturing and promoting breakdance and hiphop dance scene in East Africa. The event originated in Uganda in 2011 and does events in Uganda, Kenya and hosts participants from various parts of the world
