At the launch event in Kabale, Airtel Uganda’s Sales Director, Mr Wongani Muthayi, highlighted the importance of reliable connectivity in driving economic transformation.
“Connectivity is more than just a service; it is a gateway to cross-border trade, education, healthcare, and financial inclusion. For Kabale to thrive as a hub for trade and innovation, a strong and reliable network is essential. These eight new network sites will ensure our customers enjoy improved coverage and faster internet speeds,” Muthayi stated.
The newly launched sites serve key locations including Kyetobokeire, Kekuubo, Nyabushabi, Rwakabara, Ahakempu – Katuna Road, Irimbo – Katuna Road, Mwanjari and Kigongi.

Kabale’s Deputy Mayor, Kedress Mutabazi, who represented the Chairman LC5 at the launch, praised Airtel Uganda for prioritizing the region’s connectivity needs.
“We have always known Airtel for affordability, but network access was a challenge. Today, I applaud Airtel for addressing this concern and supporting Kabale’s growing economic activity,” Mutabazi remarked.
