Kamusi was put out of action during a confrontation with rebels at Nyabitusi near Kibaale National Park.

Kamusi was the second-in-command of Commander Abdul Rashid Kyoto aka Tembo alias Njovu or Buffalo who was captured in November on Lake Albert.

Njovu who has since been charged with terrorism, murder and aggravated robbery at Nakawa Chief Magistrates Court, was reportedly behind the killing of a British couple and a Ugandan guide in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

His second-in-command Kamusi who was killed yesterday was behind the attack on Kyitehurizi town centre in Kamwenge District where 10 people were hacked to death this month.
