Youth leaders under the Uganda Youth Parliament have called on leaders across the political divide to practice politics of tolerance.
The Speaker of the youth Parliament, Brighton Tiga Kiwanuka said Uganda as a country needs leaders who are preaching peace and tolerant to each other.
“Uganda as a country the majority of the population are youths, they need to be guided, let’s be tolerant in our politics to uplift and promote the growing democracy,” he said.
He made the remarks at an awarding ceremony held at Epikaizo Ministries in Bugolobi, Kampala.
During the event, the lead pastor of Epikaizo, Prophet TJ Collins received an award for being the youngest focused youth inspiring preacher in Uganda.
The award is part of the annual awards given out by the Youth Parliament and African Youth for Pan-Africanism.
Receiving the award, TJ Collins said, “This is a testament that God will always fight for you if you are innocent, this means a lot to us and the ministry.”
He asked all believers to put trust in God.
