Tanzania Bongo flava singer Diamond Platnumz says he has received offers for acting roles from both Hollywood and Bollywood.
This follows his commendable appearance in “Young, Famous & African”, a Netflix original first African reality television series, starring African stars Khanyi Mbau, Annie Macaulay-Idibia, Zari Hassan, Diamond Platnumz, Andile Ncube, Swanky Jerry, Naked DJ, Nadia Nakai, Kayleigh Schwark and 2Baba.
The show focused on building careers, looking for love, and rekindling the old flames of famous media personalities from South Africa, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Uganda and Tanzania. The series premiered on 18 March 2022.
The second season of the reality show returned this year with more exciting episodes.
As expected, Diamond seemed to have excited the fans more.
During his recent visit to Uganda, he was asked whether he intends to take movie acting more seriously and he answered in the affirmative.
“I have received offers for film acting from a friend in Bollywood and another in Hollywood,” he revealed.
The Tanzanian playboy seems to bring Hollywood stardom wherever he goes.
“I don’t think I’m there yet. My dreams are big but again I’m trying, I came from the ghetto, and I want to make East Africa proud. Watch me this year, I’m going to shock you.”
He added: “I’m not even doing this for Tanzania but rather East Africa as a whole.”
If you see me investing in a lady, expect a baby
A lover of women, Diamond said as a Muslim, he is allowed to have four women.
“I don’t have even one. My ladies, you know what that means. If you see me investing a lot in a lady, just expect a baby after.”
On whether he was open to hooking up with another Ugandan woman after Tanzania-based socialite, Zari Hassan, with whom he sired two kids, Diamond said:
“You know having a child with someone is a process. It’s not something that you just do. I don’t know, maybe if I happen to love someone here. Not only loving but maybe if I see someone that has chemistry”.
