KTA is a specialized International Financial Law Review (IFLR) recognized boutique law firm and a WTR 1000 top-tier law firm with a focus on technology, media, telecommunications, intellectual property, dispute resolution and corporate & commercial work.

Established in 2009, the firm is led by a team of 5 partners with over 100 years of combined experience, 25 specialized attorneys (with over 50 years of experience), 2 retired justices (head consultants) and a competent team of 7 professional operations staff. Exhibiting its expertise, the firm continues to successfully provide advisory services including corporate governance, project finance, international trade, dispute resolution & arbitration, tax finance, civil & commercial litigation, employment, real estate & property, security trustee services and estate planning and asset and wealth management.

KTA’s affiliation ensures clients now have access to a full range of legal, compliance and advisory services in Uganda with AGA’s accounting member Tervuren GMS providing additional support in the form of audit and accounting services.

Managing Partner and Head of the firm’s Corporate, Commercial and Projects Department; Asmahaney Saad commented on the firm’s recent appointment to AGA, and said:

“We are delighted to have joined AGA as their legal representative for Uganda. This is a great honour for us and through membership, our profile has been given heighted visibility. We can now offer our clients with business interests further afield, access to like-minded and quality professionals who can assist them with their cross-border activities.

“Likewise, this important partnership, through mutual exchange of information and learning, will help support the plans we have for further expansion of our international corporate, commercial and projects, and technology, media, and telecommunications service offering. We also look forward to inviting regional members to our marketing events so we can work collaboratively and in synergy to better promote the services we can all offer.”

Alliott Global Alliance CEO, Giles Brake, adds: “We are very excited to welcome KTA to the alliance, a firm with a stellar reputation as one of the country’s finest law firms. With AGA’s global reach and resources behind them, KTA will reach even greater heights by being able to offer clients a service of a uniformly high standard across nearly 100 countries. Furthermore, as the sole representative law member in Uganda, KTA is positioned to grow its regional and international client base. We send a very warm welcome to the entire KTA team.”
