FDC postpones Amuriat’s swearing in

The Forum for Democratic change (FDC) has postponed the swearing in, of the newly elected party President Hon Patrick Oboi Amuriat.

The announcement comes after earlier information had scheduled the event for today Monday 27th November, 2017.

According to the statement on the official FDC facebook page, Hon. Amuriat will be sworn in on Thursday 30th November, 2017 at the party’s headquarters.

“We would like to inform the general public and the media that the planned swearing in of party President elect Hon. Patrick Oboi Amuriat which was meant for tomorrow 27th November 2017 has been shifted to Thursday 30th November 2017 at 11:00am”, read the statement.

Hon. Amuriat won incumbent former Army commander Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu in a decisive election held Friday 24th November, 2017 at the Mandela National stadium, Namboole becoming the third party President after Dr. Kizza Besigye and predecessor Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu.
