President Museveni has been hosted by Princess Anne and her husband to a dinner at the British High Commissioner’s residence in Kampala.
“I was hosted to a dinner by Her Royal Highness, Princess Royal and her husband Sir Timothy Laurence,” Museveni said.
The princess and her husband arrived in the country on Tuesday on a four-day visit.
“We talked about the different patronages she has come to support here,” said the president.
He added: “I welcome her and wish her good luck.”
Princess Anne was scheduled to visit Salama School for the Blind in Mukono district which, unfortunately, registered a fire outbreak that killed 11 students.
She will visit Nakivale and Kyangwali refugee settlements and commission a rural bank.
