President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has compensated 57 victims and casualties of the November 2021 bomb blasts in Kampala.
The blasts killed five people including a policeman.
Each of the 57 victims received at least Shs10 million.
The money was handed over to the victims and the families of the deceased by the State House Comptroller, Jane Barekye, at a ceremony held at the police headquarters in Naguru.
Present to witness the handover was the Director of Crime Intelligence, Fred Ddamulira, and the Commandant of Kampala Metropolitan Police, Senior Commissioner of Police Steven Tanui.
In her message to the bomb victims, Barekye said President Museveni condemns all forms of terrorism that have led to loss of lives of Ugandans and left many others incapacitated.
In November 2021, Kampala was hit by twin bombs, one at parliamentary avenue and the other at Central Police Station.
Earlier in October, another blast had gone off at a pork joint in Komamboga.
Altogether, the three blasts killed five people and left over 50 others including police officers injured.
