The Speaker of Parliament, Anitah Among will today Friday, 22, chair a sitting of the appointments committee of Parliament to vet the ministerial appointees by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
According to a letter by Henry Waiswa Yoweri, on behalf of the Clerk to Parliament, to members of the Appointments Committee, the Appointments Committee is scheduled to interact with the Presidential Nominees on Friday 22nd July, 2022 at 9:00am in South Committee Room, Parliament House.
These include the Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs designate, Nobert Mao at 9:00am and the State Minister for Economic Monitoring Office of the President, Hon. Akello Beatrice Akori.
On July 21, President Kaguta Museveni appointed DP President, Nobert Mao as the new Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs.
This followed a cooperation agreement that was signed by the two parties (president Museveni and Nobert Mao), at Statehouse Entebbe.
The President also appointed, Hamson Obua as the new Government Chief Whip, Peter Ogwang as the new State Minister for Sports, Akello Beatrice Akori, new Minister of State for Economic Monitoring Office of the President.
