The Management of the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has revealed that there will be interruptions in the water supply on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 8am to 5pm.

This is due to a planned power shutdown at the Ggaba UMEME power substation.

“Subsequently, water supply to the entire Kampala Water Supply Service Area will be affected during the works,” the service provider says.

It adds that the works are designed to improve power reliability at the station.

“Customers are therefore advised to store water and use it sparingly as it takes time for the system to stabilize after a total plant shutdown,” the statement reads.
