Internal Security Organization (ISO) Deputy Director-General, Lt. Col. Emmanuel Katabazi, and his wife Jacqueline Katabazi on Saturday celebrated 30 years of matrimony.
The Thanksgiving 30th wedding anniversary took place at Rubaga Cathedral Church in Kampala.
This was followed by a reception at Mawanda Gardens along Kamuli Road in Kireka, a Kampala suburb.
Uganda’s Special Envoy to South Sudan and Ethiopia, Rt Hon. Amama Mbabazi and his wife Jacqueline Mbabazi joined the couple at Rubaga Cathedral and at the reception.
Speaking during the ceremony, Mbabazi congratulated the couple upon a 30-year milestone.

“When you marry a good wife, you can have a happy life…a happy and successful life,” he noted.
Mbabazi said that from his knowledge and experience regarding Katabazi’s work, he has distinguished himself as an intelligence officer of distinction, talent and ability.
“This is the reason the president has accelerated his promotion from private, Lieutenant, Major and now Lt. Col and D/ DG/ISO,” Mbabazi revealed.
He added: “This is in a very short unprecedented time. This is evidence that the Commander-in-Chief has in him.”
