The Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards are currently underway in Nigeria.
The film was directed by Uganda’s filmmaker Loukman Ali.
The award was received by director and actress, Mariam Ndagire.
It became the first Ugandan made movie to premiere on Netflix in December 2021.
On the same ceremony, another Ugandan movie won the ‘Best Multichoice Talent Factory’ award at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
‘Engaito’ was directed by a Ugandan filmmaker Daisy Masembe.
