Police is investigating a fire outbreak at the Ministry of Agriculture stores located along Buganda Road.

Luke Owoyesigyire the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, noted that the cause of the fire that broke out at about 11am, is still unknown.

However, he noted that the Preliminary information gathered by the officers indicates that the storekeepers always burn rubbish every Sunday and it is suspected that he wind could have blown the fire inside the store since the burning point is close to the stores.

Two people, Ajambo Jerry and Namusimbi Eunice both cleaners have been arrested to help with the investigation.

“Efforts to put out the fire completely are on. More details will be availed as soon as possible,” Owoyesigyire noted.
