Cabinet sitting at State House, Entebbe chaired by H.E the President on March 18, 2022, agreed that the government of Uganda shall construct an Industrial Park in each of the geographical zones in Uganda.
The required infrastructure shall also be provided such as roads, electricity, internet, water and sewerage and other utilities, according to Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, the Minister for ICT & National Guidance.
It was also noted that the Ministry of Education and Sports is carrying out a study on whether Ugandan parents are willing and able to pay fees in UPE as USE schools.
The findings of the study, expected in June this year will inform government on whether to allow further payment of fees or not.
Cabinet further directed that no more administrative units should be created between now and the end of this term in 2025/2026.
